  3. Completing a Section

The Big Submitter marks the Common Elements section complete when all narratives within that section have been marked complete. The State Program Director marks all program-specific sections complete when the narratives in program-specific sections have been marked complete.

Steps to complete any section are as follows:

  1. Select ‘My Plan’ in the menu to view the state dashboard.
  2. Navigate to ‘Sections’ under ‘Plan Content' and select the arrow of the section name you want to complete.
  3. Below the section title, select the '+' to expand the 'Change the status of this Section' box.
  4. Select the option to 'Update the status to 'Section Correction Complete'.'
  5. Select ‘Make this Change.’ A confirmation message is displayed, confirming the status change.

The Big Submitter can do the following for the Common Elements, while State Program Directors can do the following for program-specific sections of the plan:

  • Move a section from ‘Draft,’ ‘Correction,’ or ‘Modification’ to ‘Complete.’
  • Move a section from ‘Complete,’ ‘Correction Complete,’ or ‘Modifications Complete’ back to an editable status.

Once a State Plan has received Federal feedback, the plan is now in ‘Correction.’ Review  the Section Feedback and Corrections Job Aid.

The Big Submitter can do the following for the Common Elements, while State Program Directors can do the following for program-specific sections of the plan:

  • Move a section from ‘Correction’ to ‘Complete’.
  • Move a section from ‘Complete’ to ‘Federal Review’ (after the first submission; only for revisions based on Federal feedback—the Big Submitter always handles the first submission).
  • Move a section in ‘Modification’ to ‘Complete.’
