We have identified three likely scenarios for a user who wants to access the WIOA portal through the secure login process. You can also review more frequently asked questions on the FAQs: Secure Login - Login.gov or Department of Education Account job aid.

Scenario 1: My WIOA portal account is blocked.

Scenario 2: I already have a Login.gov or Ed.gov account and I'm logging into the WIOA portal for the first time with that account.

Scenario 3: My WIOA portal account is active, I have a Login.gov or Ed.gov account and I have already successfully logged into the WIOA State Plan Portal via the secure login feature.

Scenario 1: My WIOA portal account is blocked.

  1. Submit a request to unblock your account from the WIOA help desk.
  2. After you have received an email confirmation that your account is unblocked, within 48 hours, open the WIOA State Plan Portal and select “Login.”

Scenario 2: I already have a Login.gov or Ed.gov account and I'm logging into the WIOA portal for the first time with that account.

  1. Open the WIOA State Plan Portal and select “Login.”

  2. Navigate through the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice and accept them. You will be redirected to the secure login page.
  3. On the Department of Education Sign-in page, select the appropriate option.
    1. Sign in with Login.gov

  4. Login with your credentials and you will be redirected to the WIOA State Plan Portal.

Scenario 3: My WIOA portal account is active, I have a Login.gov or Ed.gov account and I have already successfully logged into the WIOA State Plan Portal via the secure login feature.

  1. Open the WIOA State Plan Portal and select “Login.”

  2. Navigate through the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice and accept them. You will be redirected to the secure login page.
  3. Login with your credentials and you will be redirected to the WIOA State Plan Portal.
