  3. Submitting a Plan for Federal Review

All sections of a state plan must be complete and the status of the plan is 'Ready to Submit' before the entire plan is eligible for the Big Submitter to submit. Once the plan is submitted for Federal Review, state staff will no longer be able to edit the plan.

When the Big Submitter is ready to submit a plan for Federal Review, follow these steps:

  1. Select ‘My Plan’ in the menu to view the state dashboard.
  2. Below the state plan title, expand the 'Change the status of this Plan' box.
  3. Select the option to 'Change status to 'Plan in Federal Review.’'
  4. Select the ‘Make this Change’ button. A confirmation message is displayed in a colored bar.

The plan is now in ‘Federal Review’ status. The dashboard page now displays additional timeline information: Date of submission, days left to approve plan, and deadline date.
