Current Narrative:

For FFY2020 DRS estimates that $115,100,350 in federal VR funds will be available, along with $31,151,685 in non-federal funds for a total program budget of $146,252,035. With an estimated 38,825 individuals to be served this equals $3,767 in total funds per person served, with $2,965 in federal funds and $802 in non-federal funds.

For the most significant disability category the average total cost is expected to be $3,834, with $3,017 in federal funds and $817 in non-federal funds. Total spending for the most significant disability category is estimated to be $75,758,555, where $59,621,985 are federal funds and $16,136,570 are non-federal funds.

For the very significant disability category the average total cost is expected to be $3,729, with $2,935 in federal funds and $794 in non-federal funds. Total spending for the very significant disability category is estimated to be $58,062,060, where $45,694,840 are federal funds and $12,367,220 are non-federal funds.

For the significant disability category the average total cost is expected to be $3,557, with $2,799 in federal funds and $758 in non-federal funds. Total spending for the significant disability category is estimated to be $12,431,420, where $9,783,525 are federal funds and $2,647,895 are non-federal funds.

No services will be provided to individuals in the category of individual with a disability and no funds will be expended.

No services will be provided to individuals in the category of individual with a disability and no funds will be expended.

DRS projects that all available funds, program income and carryover, will be expended on individuals in the open categories of the order of selection policy. DRS does not expect to have sufficient funds to serve additional individuals in the closed category of the order of selection.
