k. 2. A. The VR Program;
Current Narrative:
A State VR agency is required to implement an order of selection when it anticipates that it will not have sufficient personnel and/or fiscal resources to fully serve all eligible individuals. Indiana BRS lacks sufficient resources to serve all eligible individuals in the VR program. The primary resource factors that warrant continuation of the order of selection through the term of this state plan amendment include a need to serve over 2663 individuals on the order of selection waiting list prior to opening all disability service priority categories, and a current employment service provider staffing deficit. The annual projected number of eligible individuals in the VR program is 15,000. VR anticipates that resources will be insufficient to serve all eligible individuals in FY22 and FY23, and anticipates having sufficient resources to serve up to 13,020 individuals in FY22 and 14,010 individuals in FY23. (A breakdown by funding source is outlined in the table below).
