II. b. 4. Assessment

Describe how the State will assess the overall effectiveness of the workforce development system in the State in relation to the strategic vision and goals stated above in sections (b)(1), (2), and (3) and how it will use the results of this assessment and other feedback to make continuous or quality improvements.

Current Narrative:

To accurately assess effectiveness of the workforce system, all core partners provide quarterly performance data to the state workforce investment board. Performance is assessed in relation to state and local targets. Gaps in performance are addressed at the local levels. State-level teams provide technical assistance to local boards on complex performance issues. Core program partners share performance reports and special analyses of performance are conducted and shared across programs. For example, DEO completed a comprehensive study on skills gaps stratified to the local levels which will be distributed and used by all core partners at the state and local levels.
